About Us

Introduction

Centre for Security & Justice Studies (CSJS) is an institution established in 2006 to work in the fields of security and justice. It is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonpartisan, independent and autonomous Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). It is a registered and recognized organization by District Administration Office, Lalitpur district of Nepal Government on Sept 22, 2006. It is also affiliated with the Social Welfare Council of Nepal on Sept 26, 2006.

 The General Assembly is the apex body of the Centre. The Executive Committee is an elected body which administers day to day business of the Centre. It is accountable to the General Assembly. The Members of the Centre are experts with long years of experience from security, justice and education sectors.

Aim and Objectives

The aim of this institution is to contribute create safer societies. Its major objectives are to review security and justice policy; aware and educate citizens on security threats; conduct research on security and justice agendas; empower organizations and agencies to implement security policy through consultancy and training; and publish journal and occasional papers on the issues of security and justice.

The Centre is affiliated with Global Network of Domestic Election Monitors (GNDEM).
